HEILONGJIANG - Harbin city is Capital of
Heilongjiang Province in the northern part of northeast China in the
Songhuajiang River - Nenjiang River Plain. The city covers a total area of
56,579 square kilometers. It has a total population of 9.475 millions. The city
average temperature stands at 4C. Its temperature in January is the lowest
dropping to minus 19.4C. In July is the highest of the year reaching 23C on the
average.

Resources: The city is rich in natural resources, with

City: Harbin High and New Technology Industry
Development Zone was built and
approved by the State Council in March 1991 as one of the first national level
high and new technology industry development zone in China. The development
zone had taken the establishment of more than 300 foreign funded enterprises
now under operated. The Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone
was built in 1993, and there are 1,013 enterprises had been registered in the
development zone, and over 700 of these enterprises were under operated.
Other cities of the Province: Daqing City situated in the central of the
Songhuajiang River - Liaohe River Plain. It is a burgeoning industrial and
largest oil city and petro-chemical industry base of China. The Daqing High and New Technology Industry Development Zone
was established on April, 1992. More than 500 foreign funded enterprises have
been put into operation. Jiamusi City situated
on the inland of the Sanjiang Plain in the northeastern part of the Province. Jiamusi is rich in natural resources - it has
cultivated land of 1.07 million hectares, reclaimable land of 360,000 hectares,
forest land 610,000 hectares. It has proven mineral resources of more than 60
kinds, such coal, gold, iron ore, granite, graphite and pumice stone. The city
has a total reached to 300 foreign - funded enterprises in engaged and more
than 20 industries production such as textiles, foodstuffs, plastics, electronics
and building materials.
